This post is specific for my friends who are from Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Mainland China, Taiwan and Malaysia.
OK. I know you guys are motivated to develop your own internet business by:
1. Build a blog
2. Write an Ebook
3. Be an affiiate and promote 3rd party products e.g. Ebook, Software…etc.
OK. Let’s look at your strength and see how you can conquer the market.
1. English speaking skill: I’m poor in this area. Can you write or speak very fluent English targeted for your customers from U.S, U.K, Canada, Australia and similar English-speaking country?
2. Local culture: The biggest market of info product is United States. Nobody can challenge this point. So we expect most customers are from there. How can “we” motivate the targeted leads to buy from us without understanding their cutlure? Do you think you can understand U.S. more than the U.S people? I challenge this point.
Unluckily, I know most of my friends fail to develop a solid business on the internet. So they shift their career to “coaching and speaking business”. It means they suddenly become business coach and professional speakers rather than solid internet entrepreneurs.
So public speaking becomes their business model.
No more blindly follow the “expert”.
1. If their marketing skills are so great, I’m sure the U.S. government will ask them to promote U.S bond which becomes the non-welcome investment product right now.
2. Listen to the local coach may help. It depends on how he presents the model in front of you. Ask them how the business runs instead of just looking at the marketing strategies like SEO, email marketing. The strategies are just the tiny parts of the business. You need the data of the operation model. Ask for the data (evidences) from the experts.
Don’t look at the earning figure alone. Ask them the expense behind the business model. I can tell you….there is no easy and quick money. Generating 5-figure or 6-figure income within 24 hours, most likely they have a mailing list. How long do they build the mailing list? It may cost them 4-6 months.
How about they have no mailing list? Yep sure. They can ask their friends to promote their products, especially to show you how to make money without a list (in the seminar/workshop). They call it JV.
Don’t fall into a trap. Your business partners will not help you without compensation. You never know the compensation plan behind this action. No free lunch.
3. Learning is good. Without taking action then your business is still nothing.
To build a solid business, trial and error is the best teacher. If you want to find a shortcut, you may consider to find a coach. Internet or not, it is just a business. The approach is the same.
You are business action taker, not a business speaker.
