Answering my own question... it's the future
I just checked and a bunch of datacenters are showing similar results... Congrats people.. you've broken the top 2 (many are showing me still in number 3 but I dont know how long that will last!)

Today and without any warning a big earthquake happened in Google for Ambatchdotcom SeoContest keyword. I really don't know what I should say, I can't believe, and even can't start to analysis what happened in order to get some useful information. Anyway let's see what happen first and then we start to say our comments.
Today Google change the top three ranked position, or I should say Google change the top ten Ambatchdotcom SeoContest ranked position. here is the position for yesterday and today:-

As we can see the site that was in position eight became in position two, and the site that was in position nine became in position one. That's really very strange and what made me getting so made that google didn't update the cache for our Ambatchdotcom SeoContest sites, and still 23-Aug-2006.
The only conclusion that I can think of, that maybe Google team changes the algorithm of Google "Which is crazy conclusion", or they made a lot and huge back-links in the latest days. The latest search result for Ambatchdotcom SeoContest keyword was 1,150,000 and today is 1,190,000. Maybe those new 40,000 pages conatain a lot of back-links to both of this sites.
Anyway, I will wait until tomorrow google update. Maybe Google just want to say "hey no one can predect how to get his site in the top ten, and I will be always a myth".

Well,
I obviously profited from this little shakeup, so I am happy 
I did indeed make some big changes this week, both on and off page. Here are some of the major changes (I really am here to have fun and try to learn a few things I may not know yet, so I don't mind sharing !!!) :
QUALITY (not quantity) backlinks added
Cut page size from 79k to 53k
Lwered keyword density by 7% and removed many links from our site (both internal and external)
There were other changes to, but mostly minor...
I hope this helps some of you with your questions over the next day or two...
I was expecting to climb, but wasn't sure I was going to make top 3 by the end of the month...
Who knows, maybe this is just a little Googlequake and the top 10 will settle back into their usual position again in a day or two...
I am pretty excited though, as this is one of the biggest change-ups that Google has made to the top 10 positions in a while!

I meant to say too Age_magician...
You are concerned about your cache? My sites cache was also updated last on the 23rd...
But go take a look at it!
I screwed up the template a little when making some changes, and for about an hour the sidebar was pushed down to the bottom of the page...
It appears that Google took it's cache at that point and based my climb to position #2 on that image!
Funny stuff... If I drop back down over the next day or so, I think I will purposly break the template again to see if that had anything to do with my climb
